Sweet Talk Stencil Card

Happy Sunday, friends! Irene here to interrupt your Christmas card-making! Today, I am sharing a Valentine's Day card.

I love conversation hearts! Well, I don't eat them, but I think they are super cute! I was excited to see the new Sweet Talk 6x6 Stencil Stencil Set! I used this set to create the card background.

I began with the worded layer and white cardstock. I used Catherine Pooler Ink Party Dress and a small detail brush ( mine is from Honey Bee Stamps). I made sure to ink only the words. Next, I used Catherine Pooler Inks, Cotton Candy, Chiffon, Sixteen Candles, Minted, and Buttercream for the hearts.

I cleaned the worded stencil and lined it up to my cardstock again. I inked the sides of the hearts with the same inks. I inked heavier for this part.

Next, I used the Sweet Talk Die set to cut two hearts: one in Vellum and one in light pink cardstock. I also cut "Love" in pink glitter cardstock and the outline in Vellum. I glued the sentiment together with liquid glue.

I turned the heart over and added slim foam tape to the back of the sentiment, adding it only behind the letters and attaching it to the vellum heart. I then added glue to the vellum heart only behind the sentiment and added it to the pink heart.

I trimmed the heart background to 5.25 x 4 inches and added it to pink cardstock (the same color cardstock as the heart) in A2 size. Finally, I placed foam tape strips on the back of the heart and added the heart to the center of the card base.

All done! I hope this project inspires you! Have a great week.
